Chuy`s in Austin

There is a reason the place is crowded all the time...great food and wonderful drinks.

I'm kind of surprised myself to realize I must say I loved it. It's super good - or should I say "Chuy-uper good" !

The decor of Chuy's is quite fascinating, it is vibrant and colorful and exudes a warmth and beauty like none other. I asked for some guacamole to go with the chips they served, absolutely loved the flavor!We ordered the Elvis Green Chile Fried Chicken and an order of Relleno & Enchilada, the latter marked on the menu as a Tex-Mex classic. Both the dishes turned out to be magnificent! I particularly loved the Elvis Green Chile Fried Chicken, which came with a generous helping of rice and beans. The green chile sauce was the highlight for me!Great food, and an excellent late night vibe when we went in around 10.30 PM on a Saturday.

Curbside pickup and the food was great!

Food was great but the waitress was short and not friendly or nice at all. With better service would rate 5 star. I wouldn't have spent $80 to be treated rude.

Great Mexican food, chips are better than average.

Good food and great service. Portions are large and price point was good. Good value overall. Cool t shirts also. Flan is great.

Big portions and good food. The waitress we had was incredibly rude to us from the second we arrived. Threw things down on the table, was inattentive and made us feel extremely uncomfortable. I recommend the food, but would only get it to-go. The atmosphere was adorable too, so it's a shame! Oh, and she also got into an argument with another employee who was bussing tables as well. This was our first time at a Chuy's and they came highly recommended, so maybe a different location would be a better bet?!

I think with the virus scare some places aren't getting enough business and some are getting too much. Chuy's tonight seemed to fall into the latter. Wait staff seemed really stretched thin, minor mistakes in the order, confusion with the check, delays. But the food and drinks were still great, and our waiter was polite and helpful even if busy.

Chuy's is always a win for me. I especially like the extra large outdoor space this location has!

Very good overall. Limited menu from covid19 but still had good food. Chica chica boom boom enchiladas were good the chicken inside very tender. Flautas were great the red sauce is fantastic

An Austin classic that my family loves. Tex-Mex with a funky style and deep roots that have spread throughout the country. Fajitas and chile rellenos are always top of the list.... Bottomless chips and salsa makes it a done deal!

Food was good. Menu was limited. BlackBerry Margarita was really good

Chuy's is hands down one of the best and most consistent restaurants that I have ever been to! From taste and quality of food, to service and pricing, Chuy's nails it everytime! Whether we are celebrating or just wanting a nice dinner, Chuy's is always a top choice! Regarding favorites, I always go with the Comida Deluxe. There are multiple types of food included in this large combo meal, and I always end up with lunch for the next day! The Elvis Combo is another fav :) My husband loves their margaritas and we both enjoy their chips and home made sauces! All of this plus an amazing atmosphere makes for the perfect meal. We hope you enjoy as much as we have!!!

Chuy’s is a great spot to take your family out for dinner! They can easily accommodate large groups and their menu has something for everyone. Food is decent for Tex Mex. Service has always been outstanding at this location!

Same Order was incorrect twice in 1 visit. I didnt have the heart to tell the manager when he came by to make sure everything was good since the waiter was obviously having difficulties and trying to correct it. The rest of our food was delicious!

One of my favorite places to get Mexican food in Austin. Chips & salsa are really good. I recommend getting the jalapeno sauce. The Elvis Presley combo comes with a ton of food.

I was given chicken when I ordered chika chika boom boom sauce. They assumed chika chika boom boom dish which was a chicken dish basically. Disappointed.

Love the food & margaritas! Not a fan of the wait for a table, but if the weather's nice, you can sit outside with a drink plus chips & salsa or an appetizer - so not bad after all.

Great food. Excellent service. They aren't playing when they say "spicy". Love the hubcap ceilings. Definitely not a bland restaurant.

One of the awesome place to get delicious Mexican food. People here are always happy and helpful. Food plate size are so big. Food is always delicious no matter how busy they are. Drinks are so delicious. This is a new location with a lot of space. Waiting time on busy hours are normally around 15minutes.

Friendly service and reassuring to see all the staff wearing face masks.

The best Mexican resteraunt I've ever eaten at!

We came in on Saturday wanting to enjoy lunch specifically on their nice patio, thinking it would be perfect for covid. When we arrived they said they were not opening the patio until 4pm! We left and continued to look for a more covid friendly patio. We went to Gloria’s in the domain and enjoyed a socially distanced outdoor lunch instead.

Excellent service! Guacamole was very good. Had the Elvis fried chicken that was yummy. Flan desert was a favorite.

Honestly this place was a little dirty for the amount of time that nothing was happening with COVID you'd expect even dusting to.have occurred but the service and food absolutely trumped the necessity for it to be spick and span. I recommend the boom-boom sauce.

Have a huge patio.Allows dogs! Yay! 🙌🏻The food was bla... fajitas were cold.But can contribute that during the pandemic a-lot of places food is like this.We had guests from out of country and had to tell them that we will take them somewhere else forfajitas as they were that bad. 😔Service was slow as well...

Everything is great here! They have the room all decorated weird (good weird) my daughter got enchiladas and complained that they were very spicy but is you like spicy food go for it!

We visited Chuy's at 12pm on a Sunday and of course there was a wait of 25 minutes. (Not a bother when the food is excellent) I enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff are very attentive and friendly. Chips and salsa are complimentary when you are seated, I recommend asking your server for the creamy jalapeno dip with your salsa. All is made from scratch, at each location every morning@ 4am apparently. Very good. The drinks are delicious, the foods is great and served hot. Shout out to our server, Lindsey who was awesome! Great personality and positive attitude through our entire dine in experience. Her section was very busy with a mixture of big parties and small. She had great recommendations and made our meal that much better. Thank you for showing us the creamy jalapeno dip.

Good service in the COVID-19 era. Socially distant tables. Not so much the bar side so maybe avoid there. I enjoyed the chicken tacos.

Man, I missed Chuy's Tex Mex and sitting outside somewhere besides my back yard in the evening with a frozen Margarita. Things are opening back up and Chuy's appears to be following the CDC recommendations which I appreciate. Always happy to give them my business.

Last night I wanted take out so I called and was put on hold. After 20 minutes, i gave up and order food somewhere else. I decided to keep them on the line to see how ling it would take for them to answer. An hour later, someone finally answered. Wow. Great take out service...not.

Excellent food and great service. If you're not a local (or if you're visiting from abroad) always ask the staff about how hot the food is. I got a preview of how hot my meal would be from the friendly staff and I ordered something milder which I could eat with no problem. The waiting lines were quite big which means you might want to go there early.

So I haven’t got any food from here but I did get the margarita mix and it was way way way too sugary. Like wayyyy too sugary even with two shots in it. I like that they give you chips tho that’s nice. I’ll try the food next time

Second visit and my biggest complaint is that they aren't closet to my house. Good is quick and fresh and to a high quality. And the process are reasonable. Always lively, even on a weeknight, and the ambience is light and fun.

If you desire Hatch chilie's Chuy's is the only place to be. A wide variety of excellent and unique cuisine that brings New Mexico Hatch chilies to Central Texas and their chilie infused martini--- words can not describe this libation!👍👍👍👍👍

Even though there is limited menu...they still have the world's best queso and chips!!! Reminds me of my husband every time he loves it with the home made flour tortillas. This review is dedicated to Sean our waiter who made our dinner even better with his attentiveness and courtesy. He is a true professional. Thank you Sean.

Update on the daily specials...The highway 183 location has pork boom boom enchiladas on Thursdays.....almost as good as the hatch green chili beef tacos at the William Canon location!! Great heat, stuffed with pulled pork.. pile the jalapenos, lettuce and pico on top and your nose will start running after the 3rd bite. My go to Thursday texmex meal in north Austin.
